Dead battery. Locked out. Help!

So I'm not the only one who scolls right past his posts to get away from damn wavy finger woman! Drives me nuts too, not sure why..

Guessing that's the case with many of us - haven't read any of his posts. Hate those dumb**** avatars.

I wouldn't have believed it if I had not just tried this. The doors don't have a mechanical lock mech so the big bad lc can be crippled by a dead battery. I'm going to drop charger wires from my batt just in case. Hood release cable well hidden from access too. Tricky vehicle to break into

Good point

Is this really a conversation??? The locks work individually without power. ************

Yeah, I don't get this either? I had a dead, dead, dead battery, but I could still unlock the driver door with the key. The other locks did not unlock, but the door with the key did.

At the risk of piling on here, the driver door, and passenger door locks/unlocks with the key even with the battery disconnected. 1999 100 series. Not sure how the OP is missing that basic point?

So which airline do I need to avoid? SHE'S EVERYWHERE! I hope their legals don't sue mud for stealing her...

^^Epic!

BTW, the locks work with a key on a 2000 as well. My key fob battery was so weak that it wouldn't open the doors.....thank God I didn't have to break a window.....!

It's Delta Airlines.

Exterior keyed lock to cad plated "S" hook.
S-Hook to cable to interior lock indicator/handle
Interior handle to cable to physical locking mechanism

The 105 was available w/o power locks. Mechanism is similar but without actuator.

Flew Delta to MN for a wedding last week. Had the little chuckle at the finger wave, which was hard to explain to my kids.

Haha, gotta love the simplicity of these modern trucks! What could possibly go wrong with a 50,000 part latch assembly?
