I can see Reid has been spending some $ since the last time we were out. Glad you guys had fun. And don't feel too bad about that rim, it looks like the weights too the brunt of it:D

Cool pictures thanks for sharing. Sorry about the wheel and flare landcrusher'70, it does add a great deal of character. :D

Day 1: Oh man. We had a freaking blast. We went through some challenging sections. The rain has exposed a bunch of rocks plus the terrain was basically "virgin". We were the first rigs to break ground in many areas (since the rain). Absolutely awesome. We basically took turns taking point and just hopped hills and ran up washes.

Day 2: Camped overnight in Sheeps Canyon again. It was beautiful up there. "Our" campsite was taken, but we got the one right next to it. It had the other half of the oil drum, so the campfire roared in full force. Tooled around a bit in the upper canyons before descending through the rock garden. (Mark: we saw a group of nine Big Horn Sheep up there. The ranger said that some folks come out year after year to observe them, and are lucky if they've seen nine TOTAL.) There were a lot of rigs on the trail (Coyote Canyon). A yahoo in a full sized Blazer bled ATF down the last two sections of the rock garden. Made an absolute mess.

On the way home Sunday afternoon. I remembered seeing a trail that breaks directly off of the S-22 called Culp Valley. This trail hooks back up to the S-22 in Ranchita. Decided to take it and discovered a very fun and scenic trail that overlooks A-B. This trail also hooks up with the Jasper Trail that run from the desert floor to Ranchita.

I think we're set on camping off of the Culp Valley Trail and running the Jasper Trial one of these days. The Jasper Trail looks like it could be very fun. Hopefully when we go, you guys can run it with us.

Since I've now ripped off flares on the last two trips, I'm seriously considering removing and lining. I don't really want to repair flares everytime I go out. They pop off way to easy. The rim(s) will touch up good. The advantage of spray paint :hillbilly:. I think I'm going to have the weights mounted inside the wheel (sticker weight) next time I balance. I took a good chuck out of those weights. Mark somehow avoided damaging his shiny chrome wheels!

I'll post some pictures when I upload them. I'm sure Gene has some nice shots also.

Oh so your not sorry about my bumper... :crybaby: Thanks for nothing... ;p

Oh, cmon now. We all know the bumper corners are disposable. You can have mine if you want. They are collecting dust. :flipoff2:

Best Darth Vader voice: Co me to the flareless side, give in young Jedi. :D

Yeah, I should be able to pop it back out and then it will just have a nasty scuff on it.

More Pictures

One of the kids (Luke) put nice sticky fingerprints on the camera lens. The first few have a smudge.

Ha! Luke, I am your Father (really!).

Well I'm a 1/4 of the way there. Just gotta rip off the last three (or five, depending on how you look at it).

Maybe I'll just let them fall off on there own . . .

LOL, that is too funny. I almost put in the Luke I am your father part but I figured it didn't apply to the flares. Didn't know it applied to your son. :)

And this is what you consider being stuck between a rock and a hard place. And leads to a pushed in bumper corner and almost a broken tail light lens.

Definitely better the bumper corner than the rockers. Looks like you should have some sliders. ;)

Great pics, makes me wish I could have gone even more. :crybaby: Next time.

I'm not sure we would have squeezed through that with Slees step sliders but with some high and tight ones we probably could have. Yeah, I almost took out my cats in another part of the trail. Reid and Paul had to pull a bolder out from under my exhaust pipe as I moved back and forth. Truckhaven definitely showed me the necessity of a FOR lift, Sliders, and Lockers  Well sliders are definitely in the immediate future then the FOR lift.

Sounds like a good plan, I can't reccomend Frankies enough. Great set up and excellent service.
