Day 1: Oh man. We had a freaking blast. We went through some challenging sections. The rain has exposed a bunch of rocks plus the terrain was basically "virgin". We were the first rigs to break ground in many areas (since the rain). Absolutely awesome. We basically took turns taking point and just hopped hills and ran up washes.
Day 2: Camped overnight in Sheeps Canyon again. It was beautiful up there. "Our" campsite was taken, but we got the one right next to it. It had the other half of the oil drum, so the campfire roared in full force. Tooled around a bit in the upper canyons before descending through the rock garden. (Mark: we saw a group of nine Big Horn Sheep up there. The ranger said that some folks come out year after year to observe them, and are lucky if they've seen nine TOTAL.) There were a lot of rigs on the trail (Coyote Canyon). A yahoo in a full sized Blazer bled ATF down the last two sections of the rock garden. Made an absolute mess.
On the way home Sunday afternoon. I remembered seeing a trail that breaks directly off of the S-22 called Culp Valley. This trail hooks back up to the S-22 in Ranchita. Decided to take it and discovered a very fun and scenic trail that overlooks A-B. This trail also hooks up with the Jasper Trail that run from the desert floor to Ranchita.
I think we're set on camping off of the Culp Valley Trail and running the Jasper Trial one of these days. The Jasper Trail looks like it could be very fun. Hopefully when we go, you guys can run it with us.
Since I've now ripped off flares on the last two trips, I'm seriously considering removing and lining. I don't really want to repair flares everytime I go out. They pop off way to easy. The rim(s) will touch up good. The advantage of spray paint

. I think I'm going to have the weights mounted inside the wheel (sticker weight) next time I balance. I took a good chuck out of those weights. Mark somehow avoided damaging his shiny chrome wheels!
I'll post some pictures when I upload them. I'm sure Gene has some nice shots also.
