Hey all,
I am doing an engine swap from a 1991 1hdt into a 1994 1hz body. Does anyone know what the process is of swapping dash clusters over as plugs will be in different locations as one is electric Speedo and one is cable. Also wondering if I would be better off swapping over dash, engine and engine bay looms or do I just keep the 1hz looms and change a few plugs.
Cheers

I would just leave it alone and run the 1hz cluster. The 1hdt tachometer has the turbo LED light but id rather not have it personally. If you really want that light then you'll have to compare both diagrams to see whats different move pins in the connectors if needed, and get a 1hdt tachometer and you may have to run a wire for the circuit from the boost pressure switch to cluster if it's not already there. Whatever you do there is no need to swap to a mechanical speedometer. it's pretty easy to take the clusters apart.

Do you know where I might be able to find the wiring diagrams for both clusters before I start ripping s*** apart

Sorry I don't. If you have both trucks you can test both. It might even be possible and easier to solder in the red LED onto the tach.
