Dakar Leaf Spring Orientation

Hello,

I have a couple of Old Man Emu Leaf springs for the front of my fj40. I need to know which way they are installed (ie. which side faces forward and which spring goes on each side). One spring has a 1 marked on it and the other an 0.

Can anyone tell me how they are to be oriented?

If the hole is not in the center, the short side is away from the shackles.

Great. Thanks. That's what I thought, but I wanted confirmation. Anyone know how to tell which side is driver's?

Picking my springs up in a week if you can wait i should be able to help. That is if they come with instructions? Good luck

Yes, they should come with some instructions. The reason why I don't have any is that I installed the whole system years ago and have long since lost any instructions that I had (and I think things have changed since then, anyway).

I'm only changing the front leafs (that didn't come with instructions) since I turned one of mine into a wet noodle on my last outing.
