01 LC DD here. Around town and dog truck. Replaced an 85 CJ-7 on toy duty and took over as DD for 08 Duramax Diesel crew can long bed(not very friendly for around town and I hated short trips on the diesel).

Have given the 100 a fair shake at hwy time(drove it back from Chattanooga to Houston and then to Austin pre OME, then several trips to the Hill Country), but the Duramax now gets the nod for distance travel. It's just more comfortable and fuel efficient at 80(also has 100 gal aux tank). I still want to take the LC camping and to Colorado some day.

My 99 is a DD. Gas mileage is the only grip. LC is the best truck on the road. I've owned a 62 and two 80's.
Did 5000 mile vacation last year. 100 made it easy.

Daily Drivers and weekend trips with the family. There is not a more comfortable ride. Wife has VW Passat, but I like the extra room and driving a 4WD just in case.

Dd my 2000 105. Cover 35 to 40k a year. Love it. Used to have a 62 that was a dd as well. Covered 320k in it without a problem. Landcruisers are a way of life here.

Another DD here. Commute is about 8 miles of DC traffic to and from work. Appointments throughout the day could take me up to 50 miles away. Usually try to use the old lady's hybrid for those, but up until this year, did it all in the hundy.

Clocked 25k miles last year, but only about 7k this year. Drove to CO and back (5k miles) last summer, and doing it again this year. Will turn 160k on the ODO this week.

My 40 series was as daily, my 60 series was a daily, my 100 series was a daily (now, I live across the street from our business) and is now for adventure travel.

it's a great daily, better than the others.

Two 100-series DD's. 80-series before that and a 60-series in the beginning.

100 Series DD and I drive about 25mi per day for school and maybe 40mi per day on the weekends and during summer. Gas mileage is a little tough but the safety and sense of security I get while driving the 100 is priceless!

Mine's about to become my DD. Switching from working at home to having an 80 mile round trip commute. So it will be a big jump from about 5k per year to 20k+. Gas mileage will not be good, but all the calculations I've done so far don't justify the purchase of something with better mileage, and my wife doesn't want to give up the TDI.

As of yesterday, I'm back down to it as my DD. I just did the math, I could save around $2,700-$2,900 @ 20k/year in something that gets around 28mpg on regular vs my LC 14.5mpg on premium.. I could go buy a decent beater for $5k and it would pay for itself in 2+ years. Hm.

The only problem is I love the LC. I also hate to let cars sit.

More or less...you need to remember tags, inspections, insurance, maintenance etc. On the commuter...

Yup, 2000, i use it daily. It's our tripping truck, beach truck mainly. Wifey has a 7 yr old prius for store runs......

2004 LC DD since acquisition in 2007. Had 35k then and has 155k now. Best I've ever owned and wouldn't drive anything else - except the 200 I see in my future!

Yep, I daily drive mine and use it for family trips. We're planning to drive to New Mexico with the scouts next month and will be hauling my little Bantam trailer behind it. Best road trip vehicle I have ever owned.

I daily drive mine, actually thats not true. I carpool with a friend who bought my 80 series from me. So between the two of us its either
a fully built 80 or an "in process" 100. I always miss the 100 at the end of his week to drive

Wife's DD. Averages around 60 miles a week.....grocery and kid hauler. I use it for camping and hunting in the fall/winter. Love it

2000 LX is my DD, but gets a little less use in the summertime when I get out the Road King.
