Cylinder numbering (2 Viewers)

I expected to find this info pretty easy both here and on Inet, but didn't.

The firing order was easy to find: 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2
But when looking at numbering neigher the GM or Ford schema makes sense given the firi8ng order.

GM is using [top of the table is front of the engine]

So what's the numbering for Toyota 3UR-FE ?

Thanks for the find. It answers the cylinder numbering. That post is showing Toyota using GM convention for numbering the cylinders (somewhat expected). But the firing order is for a small block Chevy (picture as such).

The post also points to engine-specs.net and on that web site I found...
The 2ZU-FE has 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 that makes sense if we use the same cylinder numbering. Same order is listed here

The firing order can be found in the New Car Features book. The cylinders are identified as follows V-8 engine cylinders are numbered with odd numbered

But engine-specs.net lists 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2 for 3UR-FE, which doesn't look right to me. And it is the only source listing this order.

Here Information About The Toyota UR Series Engine | Olathe Toyota Parts Center - https://parts.olathetoyota.com/ur-series-engine is listing the same firing order for 3UR-FE as 1UR-FE.
Wikipedia is saying that manufacturers change firing order on same engine on different generations or applications. So I cannot just asume the same firing order was kept between the old and new LC/Tundra engines.

So which is it? Is there a definitive answer? Can that be found in Techstream?

I spent some time digging into the FSM but didn’t find anything promising. I’m surprised by that though.. not willing to give up yet. More later.

I also dug through FSM both mechanical and general (the specs) and come empty handed.

Found an interesting document about various engines that at least looks to be produced by toyota. It lists the same firing order as the UZ series 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
