I am going to re clamp
My cv axle boot. When I bought the vehicle I noticed some grease
Coming out of the passenger side inner boot - specifically the small clamp. Would you guys recommend shooting some grease in it with a high pressure tipped grease gun? And what I’m referring to is the needle style tip, just slip it under the lip give it a good few squirts and reclamp? I’ve had a pop here and there but nothing constant and I can’t duplicate it.
Thanks for your help. Also I plan on using the synthetic grease with moly it says it’s good for cv axles. Anyone have any more advice?

I had similar problem. After searching this forum, I bought PFRAN CV Clamps and the Red Line CV-2 grease to replace the grease and the clamps. I was a easy but messy job. Clean old grease with brake cleaner and add around 9 oz of Red Line grease back. Use PFRAN CV to clamp the boot after adding new grease. NOTE: don't tight it too tight. Just enough where you can't turn it by hand. Also test highway speed to make sure it is tight enough not spill grease out.

CV Boot leaked Grease?

Toyota OEM boot kit comes with everything needed to do a complet reboot ~$35. You can just use the grease from kit, which matches yours.

If the amount of grease seen slung around fender well is minimal, which is normally the case when seepage from loose clamp.
See white spots CV lube in fender well. You can have about 4 times this before rebooting or adding grease.

How did you end up getting the grease into the boot--did you "squirt" some in there or do the new boot kit? Having this issue now.
