Cutting rear wheel wells Questions

Opening up the rear wheel wells on my 40 is on my to do list for this winter. They are already cut upwards as far as can be, but at full stuff I still get some rub on the back edge. Rear springs are flipped so I'm wanting to trim them to the back and trim the rear bumper down to the frame rails. I keep looking at the truck but just can't picture how to tie it all together in the back. Please show me what you did and where you mounted the tail lights. Thanks.

Well the dent isn't there on the other side. Also the pic is from a few years back and I have different tires on the rear now. Started finding marks and small cuts on the pass side tire, so looking to make some more room.

Go for the competition cut, straight back from the top of the current cut around the corner then radius back down.

Cut the top of the fenders off, move up to the hard top railing, and fill in the gap with sheet metal.

Lower the rear bump stops?

EDIT: Just looked at the pic again, and realize there is no rear bump stop on the driver's side. Maybe an idea?

Yea, I have noticed that the bump stops are gone, and have thought of putting some back in their place. But hate to give up anymore up travel than I have to. So I will likely do some of both, trimming and replace the bump stops.
