You could get rid of ABS by removing the unit and stock MC then by swapping in a 1" bore MC from a 4Runner, unless the stock MC has only two ports on it. Bend up lines to each axle and lines to each caliper...done. Then the braking system would be really similar to a 60/4runner/t100 with disk brakes out back. If you need to, you can put in a proportioning valve for the rear circuit.

The 80 MC bolt pattern is the same as the 60/4runner, right? I bet it is.

How about putting in an 85 supra master cylinder. I did that on my 40, works great no proportion valve.

Reading this is dangerous! Youse are giving me ideas for my sweetheart... Just dont tell her :)

I just need another 80 for a toy so i can shed some weight on this one...

Love your work though...

Removing the passenger seat? How much weight will I save? Remove all seats and just leave the drivers.

Why not install a drivers 5-point standing harness?

standing?

I mean, it'll save weight?
When I raced mtn bikes, folks who run foam handlebar grips, just to save ounces.... weight wheenies!

A power passenger seat is like a boulder. They are crazy heavy.

Replacing both with lighter racing seats might be a better way to go I think. Is there a market for 80 front seats? Shipping would be a deal killer.

Where you located ? :hhmm:

I've got two Sparco Monza buckets that will drop into an 80 for sale in the classifieds section. About 1/4 the weight if the electric seats.

Ammo
