The B Pillar covers are Trail Tailor metal fabricated replacements trimmed to fit. Then covered with thin foam sheet and then the leather. The foam padding provides a nice “upgraded” look

Any details on the ashtray USB power conversion? I really like that touch, hides them when closed to keep the 62 dash look, but great function when you open the ash tray!

Nice tip!!! I have been debating on the TT B pillar. Your install is a perfect solution. Thanks

Wire up the overhead console for both lights and the Ambient Temperature and compass function. Just need to plug it ALL in and turn the ignition on

BIG Mad Scientist Laugh- Brahahahahah!!!!!!!

The two lights come on with the door switches on the Dome Light circuit, and

With the door closed, each light can be pushed for on/off individually and.....

Ignition on brings up the ambient temp and the compass.

Next I need to turn to dabbing the A pillar covers to integrate the tweeters before the whole truck goes to the upholsterer for a cool custom headliner

The Mini-cell foam arrives tomorrow. I’ll cut and shape that around the console to provide smooth functional contours around the console and the visors across the whole width of the truck’s interior roof. The upholstere can tack the new headliner to get an integrated finished look and for sound and thermal insulation.

I would like to know how to change out the light bulbs from a 2005 Tacoma and replace with LEDs to match the stock lights that I already upgraded. Anyone know how the Taco lights are changed?

Plastic weavy stuff is from Chiliwhich (manufacturer of place mats/table runners } I saw it when my wife bought them and thought it was a great material then saw it used in the Icon FJ62 interior. Upholster complained about how stiff it is.

Foamy Stuff is Minicell foam- great stuff. Kayakers use this for knee pads and back rests. It’s semirigid and is very formable using hand saws and sureforms and sanders. I am currently placing blocks of minicell foam around the new overhead console and shaping it for the base for the new head liner

These minicell blocks will get glue in and glued together after fitting and rough shaping. I’ll remove the seats to avoid the mess and then I’ll shape and sand to get a multi curve shape that molds the new overhead console in and provides custom close fitting recesses for the Rosen sun visors. The new headliner will either glue or stretch over the whole new front configuration

Yup. I was considering a move away from the stock look and go to a fully custom interior. I do not own mad upholstry skills so this will be me finding the right custom auto upholstry shop. Not likely in Mountaineer state (custom upholstry has a whole different meaning in West Virginia). I was hoping to get some concepts from others if there has been any custom interiors done
Its been a long but fun journey, but I am mostly complete with getting the Antichrist past all mechanical and exterior improvements in the vein of a resto mod. Gone through the drive train including a Detroit Diesel 6.2l Turbo Diesel, paint cushion tail gate, suspension, bumpers, Yady ya.

Now I would like to turn to the interior. I have upgraded the carpet (SOR), replaced the drivers seat bottom cushion, painted the dash, put in a secure center Consol (with CB), modified rear speakers near the roof line, Put in the WagonGear quarter panel storage panels and tail gate storage panel the result is clean and functional but with the exterior, running gear and engine bay looking squared away, the interior, especially the door panels could really use a more updated and custom approach befitting the the rest of the rig.

Has any Mudder done a resto mod interior upgrade on a 60? Do y'all have ideas as to what interior features, improvements could/should/would be done to achieve maximum awesomeness for a 60 interior? Love to see pics and get ideas and sources for the ultimate cruiserhead interior.

I used 1/8" abs black textured abs plastic and screwed it on with black #10 screws and black beauty washers. Indestructable and scratch proof. I also contact cemented foil faced 1/8"bubble wrap on inside for insulation, moisture barrier and sound. Dont forget to line the inside of your doors with dynamat while everything is apart. I also wrapped the upper metal part of the cards with matching vinyl that i used on the seats. I had to retain these to get the window felts to work. Good luck.

Covid has interrupted things including my upholsterer. But he is back to work and I just need to finish the headliner modifications including some minicell foam

Looks like Hillbilly Alcantara. I ordered a custom headliner with a material that has custom perforations. This is going to finish off very schweeet

Wow, really excellent workmanship on your 60; your an inspiration.
Saw another custom interior, on a 62, that also made my head swirl.

Its a 4plus bumper

Jon Ward uses the Chiliwich fabric in his icon builds, if I recall correctly.
