So I did a 3inch exhaust from the turbo housing for my friends BJ71. It required making a custom flange as the stock dump off the exhaust housing is way too small. The toyota supra dump bolts on, but it does not dump in the right direction, so I just made everything new. Also made a brace from the bellhousing support (brace that bolts to the bellhousing and block) to the exhaust, it is bolted in between to make for easy removal of downpipe (will try to take some pics of that later).
When I see the truck again I will take some pics of the exhaust hanger by the frame. The exhaust has all been painted black since taking these pics with high temp plastikote paint.
If anyone is interested in having this done, I might be interested in doing it again.
I will let the pics do the rest of the talking.

It was a good challenge getting things to line up smoothly in the wheelwell.
A resonator from a 2007 Tundra was also added after a few days to quiet things down a bit (perfect fit, 3 inch inside diameter).

This looks fantastic; exactly what I'm looking for. If the price is right, I would be severely interested in getting one made for my BJ74. Althought I am in edmonton, we make frequent visits out to Vancouver. Next visit is in June.

How much bling do you want Jzilla? PM me or email if you'd like tprince@ualberta.ca

It sounds fine with the resonator, with nothing it was a bit noisy!
I will figure out cost, it was a lot of work, as simple as it looks...what do people think it is worth? Crushers you do a lot of custom work, thoughts?

nice work my only issue is it appers to come out the wrong place and should be behind the rear wheel. THe exhaust gases may come back in the window when stationary and the noise may drive you crazy with the window down. I hope you keep it "quiet" with the muffler.

Thanks! Actually the noise is fine with the resonator (which acts like a muffler). No exhaust gases come in the window. On my 60 I have the same set-up and there are zero exhaust gases coming in the vehicle.

looks fine, nice and clean. 3" is a bit overkill but if it works then excellent.

cheers.

Thanks, went with 3 inch more for the look and because we could I guess :)
What do you think a job like that is worth?
I will try and post up some more pics later, it is all black now, it looks good!

yep, looks good black.

how much is it worth?
take the hours invested X a fair hourly rate + materials + shop expenses (hydro, consumables etc)
and that is the value.
