Does anyone have wisdom about a current source for 74670-60040-B0 (or E0 if miracles still occur?)

I thought I could still order them through Toyota, but I guess I was mistaken. Need one to finish up Julia's truck, and I'd like a second one for my project 80.

mot got me mine back around 2010, said they were about gone then. I used the Sawzall to cut it out of the dash of my old green 80 I totaled last fall so I had one to install in the LX 450 that replaced the 80 because I knew they were unobtanium. Your best bet would be to check salvage outfits in markets where they were commonly installed. IIRC right or left drive doesn't matter, you simply turned it over to fit as needed.

I scored one from @landcruiserjunky last fall that had a few...I'm pretty sure I got his last one. I had another that I got off of eBay from UAE at the same time and sold off to @captainva ... he took possession of that one a couple of months ago, but not sure if he's cut the holes and installed yet....

Edit...this was for the early 80 (rounder version)...looks like you are hunting for the later square style by the PN.

Thanks, guys! My intention was to install it while the dash was out, but it looks like I'll be moving forward with reinstallation now. Will I need to pull it again when I find a bar?

No need to pull the dash. You pull the glove box and can feel where the holes are. It can be intimidating to punch the holes in the dash but with a little care it's doabl. I used the sawzall in salvaging mine because stuff was jammed up enough I couldn't pull the glove box to get to the nuts.

Thanks again for the Eric! I haven't gotten to that on my 80 yet...I'm still in the maintenance and basic amenities stage

You do not need to pull the dash for installation. Just the glove door. Quite straight forward & easy.

Guys, I don't know how you all install these without pulling the dash. I had a duct and the airbag in the way.

holy moly - finally found a brown one on eBay (as I was getting ready to install the gray one on the brown dash!)

There's a write on MUD. I also installed mine w/out removing the dash but mine is a 93 from @landcruiserjunky.

yeah I suspect the earlier dash is easier? - definitely easier to find those handles than the square-dash variant!

yeah that was the price I was getting from Serra as well - but NLA. The picture is correct, but the year range in the description doesn't make sense?

- if Toyota has rereleased them since I gave up looking for them, you're going to hear a bunch of colorful language on the internet tonight...
You just need to look deeper at the year range...the square is for '95-'97's.

I agree that they look cooler on the earlier dash with the angle to the pad, not just a "gotta get off the toilet somehow" looking square bar sticking out. That said, you have what you have, so go with it. Either one is quite functional as a grab bar, and perfect for my RAM mount to hold my tablet too.

Held up great for 3 days at Fall Crawl (heavy rock crawling/thrashing) and a New Year's day trip that wasn't as rough. If you do want it to mount something like this, I got a smaller claw (pictured) from Amazon that works with the Ram ball...the Ram clamp was huge!
