Excellent hide on the license plates! My wife asked if you could do a little work on my gut in that one picture. Bit*h...

Thanks for posting the pics.

Who owns that fine looking mustard 40 with the bikini top?

Yours truly Lee, took the top off last weekend and added the steelies Friday. This morning I dropped it at Colvin for cancer surgery to the rear sill and quarter panels. Hope my wallet survives this.

I'd never have guessed. Your truck looks great topless. Totally different look. Is that a new front bumper? My rustbucket 40 is scheduled for a new sill and rear quarter repairs this week and outer rockers next week, so I feel your pain. In fact I'm already feeling it. :crybaby:

Lee,
I keep telling you to lose the hard top and get a soft one. Your rig would look cool!

Stop showing me that pic dammit. It makes me feel inadequate. :frown:

I'll admit, that is a beautiful truck and I like the olive top. Also like the steelies/tire combo. When I get my check from that Nigerian prince, maybe I'll spring for a soft top and new shoes.

That looks amazing Kelly, need to get off my arse and get my stock steelies installed. Who did you end up having blast them? Paint or powder coat?

Tucker

Tucker I had Colvin blast and paint to match one new wheel (black) that I found. Ended being more than I expected at $50 each, but once they were mounted up I'm really happy.

Same old chrome bumper she always wears.

You need to be careful with that bumper. Lee or Mark are probably planning on stealing it to add to their chrome plated collection.

Or worse Dave, I could rise to the top of the chrome heap.

Be very careful Kelly. Once you start down the bling road, there's no turning back...

Kelly, why did you choose black instead of the factory grey for the wheels?

I don't know I guess because of my black pinstripes. Just thought I'd stay with two colors instead of introducing a third. Also saw a picture of one with black and I liked the way it made the hubcaps look.

New Sill From CCOT

This morning I dropped it at Colvin for cancer surgery to the rear sill and quarter panels. Hope my wallet survives this.

Today--new sill installed. Excellent quality and perfect fit.

New sill and PS corner channel.

Wow Lee that looks great. Where did you get your parts?

Everything was purchased from Cool Cruisers, but I think the panels were manufactured in South America. I've been very impressed with the fit and quality. Very little tweaking required. The new floor pans were a direct drop-in fit, same as the sill. The body shop foreman told me the new sill was heavier gauge steel and a superior design to the original sill. It appears that the outer rockers, which haven't been attacked yet, may require some trimming and adjustment. Everything came with a heavy coat of epoxy primer. The body tech said it was so thick that they must have sprayed multiple coats.
