Thanks for that pic. So what is the depth of the two holes are the left? Are they the same depth?
The one closest to the shifter is slightly shallower than the one closer to the console.

Are they both exactly 1 5/8" deep?View attachment 1377468 Sorry, almost forgot...... 1-5/8" deep.
They are basically designed to hold small items like change or keys. The folks that designed the interior were not familiar with this product.
YesAre they both exactly 1 5/8" deep?
That cutout (lined with black fabric) is only 1/4" deep. The console is simply spun 180° if the Cruiser is LHD.One more question. Is the hole closest to the dash and under the e-brake handle the same depth as the one directly across from it on the left side? I'm trying to figure out if I can design something that will fit both the LHD and RHD console?
The piece with the two square holes is a separate part? How does it attach/how can it be removed from the main console section?Yep, that's how deep mine are. I guess there are different part numbers on those cups. The are a separate item from the console
Will do.If you really want to do it up, add "Land Cruiser" like on your 60 version.
Then I think the best option is to get the OEM console with that piece installed. I hope to be able to just remove/replace that piece with a significantly more functional piece that will attach in the same way and look totally factory. I can just mirror the part and offer it for the RHD and LHD.it clips in then it's screwed down through the one cup with the rest of the console. Obviously the malaysia console is 1 piece
