I also have this console its based on the Prado. But it's missing 4 coin slots on the ridge parallel to the parking brake lever. They have both manual and automatic versions. Just know that inoder to secure it, a bracket needs to be dabbed for the two screw holes in the cup holders. I used a piece of wood that I glued to the floor and placed nutserts. There are two additional screw points of the lateral edges on the forward section. My truck had brackets in place already for them. Dash screws worked perfect. I had enough space to put 4 crossovers under the console. I'd imagine there would be enough room for a fuse block or similar item too. Also the coin slots are removable and fit factory toggle switches and 1/4 din (I think that's the correct size) fittings. I plane on putting some USB ports on mine.
I've found "just tea" bottles fit perfectly!!The recessed area (left of shifter) is deep enough to hold most smart phones as long as you don't do a 5 G turn however the cup holders are basically useless until someone markets a square beer can.
They have sweet tea too! I just reuse the bottles for black coffee which I press and chill the night before. Because I'm fancy like that.No self-respecting Southerner would ever drink unsweetened tea. If it's not sweet or fried why bother.![]()

Are you planning on 3D printing them?
I may send you console for reproduction purposes. But, to find the in Japan is rare, especially intact, and very especially in a manual variant. When one is found they're about $300usd plus shipping. This console is very dear to me.

I do not plan to reproduce the OEM console. I don't have a printer with a big enough platform. The large platform machines are getting close to a price point I can afford. That project might be something I can do in a year or two. Right now I'm just focused on developing a couple different styles of double cup holders that will mount to the interior of all the different 70 series versions.@bhicks

So I spent the last several days looking over threads, google images, old forums, etc. and now feel pretty confident I understand all the different options that were available for the 70. From what I can tell all 70 series from all years have the same basic sheet metal floor pan for the front seats. There are differences from RHD and LHD but nothing that can't just be mirrored for the two sides. I am pretty confident I can make one design that will sit flat and flush on the floor that will work for all 70's that don't have the center console section that goes up around the console. I should also be able to make one double cup holder that will mount onto the OEM and Malaysian center console/tranny shifter cover. I should be able to then mirror that an offer 4 options. There will be a double cup holder that sits on the floor(up on the tranny hump) between the two front seats very similar to my 62 series double. It will come in a RHD and LHD version. There will also be one that mounts to the full center console for a LHD and RHD console. Now I just need the actual console in my hands. It has the curvatures on the bottom I need to make the cup holder for the non-center console 70 AND the curvatures up top for the 70's that came with the center console.
Can you post of pic of the ashtray and area surrounding it?Wow that is a bunch of different cup holders for all the different styles,I still believe if someone would make a cup holder that can slide in where the ashtray sits now we should have a winner......and it would fit every 70 model from 1985 till today !
Just my 2 cents

View attachment 1385632 The winch control shifter could be an issue.
I'll readily admit that I have only used my winch once however that one time made a huge difference. My reference to the location of the winch controller was more directed towards the size of the cup vs ones ability to remove the cup holder itself. A 200oz Big Gulp might sit fairly low in the cup holder. How many times have you used that winch yet
If it slides in and out like the ashtray it would be a 5 second deal if you need to use the winch.
