Thanks Brian. I spent an hour on it myself after googling basic petrol engine wiring diagrams and I got two wires connected. So yeah. Gimme mechanical work any day!

Okay first issue.

Trans is in neutral according to the shifter but is actually in reverse..? Ah. Hold on. That means that the box must have shifted into reverse whilst the shifter was out and when I put it back I didn't shift it back to where it was supposed to be before re-intalling the stick? It did seem more difficult than normal to get the shifter clip down and spun..
 
Yep, stuck in reverse. It's like the stick and the gearbox aren't talking to each other. The box is stuck in reverse, but the shifter is free to select all gears except reverse. 2nd goes in easily, 3rd goes in easily, but first just falls in as if there's no resistance at all. Thinking some kind of selecting-type device for 1st and R isn't lined up.
 
No longer in reverse. Stuck a screwdriver into the box and popped the 1st and R selector thing forward to match 2nd and 3rd selector thing. Stick in, adjust clutch. Drive. Needs brakes bled and proper FEWA. But it also drives.. ;)
 
Wish a 2h would idle like that! Still waiting for the burnout footage!!
Haha you'll be waitin til I find some dirt. Those 3.7's are terrible..
