Interesting print while hunting in the Galiuro mts. No domestics anywhere near the area. Sorry I didn't have a quarter for reference.

turns out it was a good attempt at a low buget "movie" using a GoPro and the bear was "cut" into the film - still pretty awesome

You know that big ugly road that goes up the southeast side of the white tanks mountains? This is what it looks like from the north side.View attachment 966973

I have seen it so many times from the airplane . . .

would like to wheel around there if the trails are open :steer:

Wasn't that a former Caterpillar proving/testing area?

The roads aren't open and wouldn't be much fun to drive it they were. There is a bulldozer that is kept back there to keep the roads in good shape for the service trucks. I went up on foot and had a blast doing it.

Now if they could just do tags for catch & release... Seems a shame to take such a beauty from the wild. Not anti-hunting per-se, just remember my family of hunters where we took more pride in displaying the heads than what we ate for dinner. Seeing a rack with an 30-06 barely spanning the trey tines makes you wonder if any other elk will get as big. Similar thoughts for that beauty of a ram in the OP photo.
