There is a back up route fot the BB runs listed in the descriptions. All others we will play by ear@ga12r1 , what is the plan for runs that get cancelled due to a trail closure?
Just a quick post for awareness. If you've signed up for a Black Bear run, be aware that it's currently not open due to landslide damage from last year. I'd recommend you have a backup plan in case it doesn't open. Rumor is that it won't open at all this year. The county has solicited bids to get it fixed but I haven't heard that anyone was selected yet.
It’s definitely up and runningI tried Shed the other day, I couldn't find the event. I am guessing it works now?
Ah, I should have read the descriptions. Thanks for clarifying. There is a back up route fot the BB runs listed in the descriptions. All others we will play by ear![]()
I just came here to say that a miracle has happened and now I feel like a total dork for suggesting it wouldn't just this morning.Looks like Black Bear was opened today: San Miguel County Colorado Road and Bridge - https://www.facebook.com/smccoroads/
But Imogene is still closed. Road Conditions | San Miguel County, CO - Official Website - https://www.sanmiguelcountyco.gov/406/Road-Conditions
Wonder what it’s like driving that thing over Black Bear pass? My 200 is wide enough for me!I just came here to say that a miracle has happened and now I feel like a total dork for suggesting it wouldn't just this morning.

Sadly, as everyone else is showing off their packed up rigs, I am one of those who have a little work ahead of me. Luckily I am only 6.5 hrs away if I don't make any stops. One of the big things that I am now stressing over is this:We're less than a week away. I'm starting to get a little excited. I've still got a long list of things I need to get done on Friday before I head up on Saturday and disperse camp for a couple days over the weekend and then on to Kendall on Monday.
1) Modify camper hitch so my tire swingout will open when towing my camper (so I can open the rear liftgate and tailgate while towing)
2) Change the engine oil and ATF in the Cruiser, and check all the other fluids
3) Finish trimming the mattress topper to fit the new camper bed
4) Rotate camper tires, inspect brakes, grease wheel bearings on the camper
5) Pack up all the clothes, gear and food needed for a week of camping
Who else has a list that's too long and can't possibly get it all done?
