Just called Dan at American Toyota for tune-up parts (cap, rotor, plugs, wires) for the 87' FJ60, and I was amazed. I have heard everyone talk about his prices, but now I know.

Dan--$76.00 including shipping from NM to NE.
Performance Toyota of Omaha--$105.00

As much as Id like to support the local guys, $29 goes a long way. Especially this time of year.

Yep Dan, has the best prices, sometimes I get lazy and even buy little parts from him. I still save money even with shipping.

Dan's prices are topped only by his exceptional SERVICE. He knows more about our trucks than most of us ever will and more often than not has the parts in stock. I live five minutes from a Toyota dealer, and I buy parts from Dan exclusively.

Can't say enough about CDan! Always a great experience.

I've ordered most of my parts from Dan but recently made the mistake of going to the dealer that's 5 minutes from my house for a cap and rotor. It's little stuff, right? Plus they give me a little discount, too, so with shipping it's probably a wash.

Never again.

Ordered cap and rotor in person. Paid for cap and rotor. Go to pick-up cap and rotor. Find cap but no rotor. "Sorry 'bout that, we'll have the rotor in a couple days." Call back. NO ROTOR!

I don't think I'll have that problem next time.

Looks aside, Dan was absolutely great to deal with. I told the wife about how much I saved using him, now she wants me to order the turn signal lens on our 4Runner that she broke.

Cant say enough good things, thanks Dan

And how can you like anybody that has TWO Dodges? :flipoff2:

Those are big words coming from someone who has a "stinky" GM motor :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

(whisper)...don't tell anyone but I'm researching a 6.2L turbo conversion myself...

(edit) Whooo hooo, I am now an IH8MUD regular!!!

I haven't bought anything through him. My dealer gives me a pretty good price and there's no shipping. That's the bugger. His prices are slightly lower but shipping to Nor Cal is the killer. Most of the parts guys at MY dealer don't know their hole from an ass in the ground. And poor service.
Dan has been great helping me sort out a few things MY dealer couldn't.
Probably should switch from whom I buy. Local is good but someone who knows my vehicle and cares about the breed is better.
Good job CDan.

You must have ordered some big stuff from Dan. My shipping on cap, rotor, plugs, and wires from NM to NE was $7.

He provided his exceptional service to me in person. He didn't scare me, although he was obviously trying very hard.:hillbilly

Ditto on this thread. Dan was recommended from a previous post re Dash Pad. I ordered one today from Dan and saved 25% from list. He was VERY helpful and is arranging for shipment from Japan. He is not charging until the pad ships from his warehouse. Excellent! Thanks for the referral. I will use him again.

That's all true, but he rather unpleasant to look at, and he runs over the dogs he's claiming to have to feed.

In the first place I didn't kill him and in the second place he bit me back..:flipoff2::hillbilly
