The most common cause of death wobble on the '80 is panhard/track bars. Most often from loose bolts, but could be a bad bushing.
I will add a caster issue too .. didyou already check your caster numbers ?

Well the lateral control rod (panhard) bolts were already tight. I guess there's no way of knowing if the bushings are worn unless I remove the rod. The bushings look like they're not going to come out easily or go back in without some serious convincing. What do you use to get those puppies out and back in?
Sorry I didn't update this post. I believe the issue was the parking brake dragging. The parking brake lever was loose and at times the dash indicator light for the parking brake turned on while driving. I had IPOR adjust the parking brake since they were "rebuilding" the rear locker actuator (it wasn't engaging). Since then I've never experienced the shaking again.
Funny this thread got bumped now because my parking brake is loose again, gotta get that fixed. No indicator on the dash this time around though.
