Wow. I'm impressed. Been considering this myself (upstate NY...) before things get any worse than they are.
I had my truck undercoated before I moved up this way and for the first few years would retreat it but probably the last time was at least 8 years ago. Now I'm ready to take on a project like this (while I'm in the middle of several others - changing springs, new brakes all around (including calipers), lots of bushings, different sway bars, etc). But I've been stopped in my tracks due to lack of a reasonable solution to remove all of the old undercoating (that is probably doing more harm than good now since water and dirt is collecting where it is cracking and flaking).
Anyone have any thoughts on how to do the undercoat cleanup before I can even start to think about rust prevention? I've looked around before but didn't find any hints short of sandblasting.
