I assumed it was a given the responses would be biased, but hoped to gain some insight anyways. I disagree about your second point. I would wager more than one regular on T4R.org would say go for the LC if you can swing it.

:meh:

I agree, most Toyota guys I know if you take the $$$ out of the equation would go for the 200 over the 4Runner any day of the week... I do know a couple that prefer the sportier/smaller 4Runner better, but only a couple:)

There's only way to prove it...

Oh and provide the link when you do it.

Don't be trolling.

Picture of Yoda looking like a troll and snob bs as a sig?

I agree, and posted earlier, but will expand:

I've had:

'97 4runner
'04 Taco
'05 Sequoia
'07 Taco

In that order...but was always missing something. So I got:

'88 LX 80 series
'86 Cruiser

Then my wife finally got sick of it and said 'Just do it already!'

'08 Cruiser
'10 4runner
'09 Cruiser

I am also a member of T4R.org (or whatever it is) and will post it there if you want. Nothing beats the king of the road, on road or off.

So Chimyz mentioned more room for 3 kids, dog, gear, etc. with the LC. Should I assume that's with the 3rd row removed? I was under the impression that the 5th Gen. 4Runner had more cargo room, although I know what you mean by it being tight.

This is classic...Nothing says, in a oh so thinly veiled fashion, I have a strong desire to prove myself.

But with all pretentious aside...

You don't have to sell me on why the LC is better than the 4runner. I get it...and so does everyone else here. Your preaching to the choir. But, we are not a good body of unbiased opinions to fully answer your question. I hope this subtle fact is not lost on you. Furthermore, a LC is not for everyone...the sales figures back that up. There are a lot more 4runner owners out there than LC owners of late model years. Now, since your question was more along the lines of which type would you prefer...people are always going to want something they can't have, albeit for price, economy etc. So you see...your basically asking if someone would rather have a camero or a porsche. It's trivial, at best, to expect the opposite of the better of the two.

But carry on and prove to yourself what we all know...

Removed third row.
To be honest though, it felt bigger even with the seats in. Almost as if it was taller or something. The other thing that bugged me about the trail edition was the tray. It took up a good 4 inches of storage space.

I think you just proved it...troll

My only comment to the OP is that the $67K listed in the dealers ad is a bit high for that rig here in NC. I paid a smidgen more than that for my 13 in Sept 2012. In early 2012, the same dealer offered me a new 11 for close to $62 (granted I had an ad that they had screwed up on ... But was not ready to buy at that time>.

In short, I think you can do better on price if that's the rig you want.

Good to know! The '13s in the area are in the high 70s to low 80s. I wouldn't mind a grey or blizzard pearl 13. Maybe I'll wait till later in the year when the 14s come out.

I would get a grey 2013, but I'm biased:):):) in all seriousness I've owned almost 20 toyota's throughout the years, LC's, 4Runner, pickups, even a Tercel, and the LC 200 is by far my favorite, it's not even close... just my 2 cents

Don't let the listed approach/departure angles fool you. The big girl isn't hiding much behind those plastic bumper covers and they happily deform and bounce back time and time again.

I did some steep stuff at Moab and surprised a lifted Unlimited Rubicon by doing everything he did.

Thanks for the vid Soslo...and Kreiten - I keep going back to the pic of your grey beauty and keep thinking that looks perfect. I wanted the 4Runner in grey but the one dealership in the area that had a grey Trail just wouldn't come near the price I got the black one for.

I think you just proved it...troll

Thats the best you got? Is that another one of your thinely veiled attempts to try and call me out? Should I supply a list like yours? My wife might object when you ask to see my dic@k to make sure yours is still bigger...

"Everybody, behave and stop bickering. This is about inspiring more people to get into out offroading. I've never understood people who argue constantly about who is wrong and who is right, because the fact is, there are many "right" answers, especially for people just starting out.
Do me a favor. Try to focus more on expanding this community as a whole than protecting your little corner of it."
