As per Automotive Engineering in Mesa, AZ, can someone comment to me their expertise on 40/60 series (for instance)? No offense but I've seen lots of shops who can't really work on other than 96+ OBDII machines. Curious as to some of the LC40 nuances (e.g. World-market carb's) and maybe wouldn't balk at a a mini-PS setup?

If you need to go to a dealer in Shreveport LA I give thumbs up to Yokem Toyota- ask for Gary in Service and Bernie turning the wrench- Bernie has had a 40 for 25 years I think he said and has gone above and beyond with my FJ62. Didn't cuss when it rolled into his bay for some 3FE tweaking. Prices seemed very fair, parts dept was full rate $ but all in all happy with them and will go back again.

Well I'm not a shop but I have worked technician at a Toyota dealership for 5 years ( but quitting in 1 week to go to a Honda dealership). We didn't see many older cruisers at the shop, but I grew up in a Land Cruiser family and I have been working on cruisers for over 12 years. I do side work and specialize in smoging FJ60's here in CA. I can give references if needed.

Went to go see Jose Riveria from MetroCruisers in Belleville, NJ about my FJ62. Really nice guy and very knowledgeable. Pretty cool shop with a bunch of different cruisers in the parking lot. Anybody in the area should go check his shop out. His prices are very fair and great guy to do business with. It shows his location as NY but it is actually.
