I think ive decided to run a cruiser hybrid axle. Ive got all the parts to do it, i think it would be the strongest option ive got with the parts i have. What i would like to know is if: Would a 86-94 toyota V6 rear end work with the hybrid build? I know the 85-older rear axles have a really small in diameter axle tube that would fit inside the cruiser tubes. But could i use the longer 86-94 axle shafts with the 85-older axle tubes and use that in the cruiser housing? I understand thats difficult to see, but what do you think? I think it would be nice to have the width of the 86-94 shafts.

Yes, Use the Pre 86 Housing, and Post 86 Shafts.. Should work just fine!

I am going to rebuild mine at some point, and i think Tacoma Shafts will also bolt right up to the Pre 86 housing, so i would have a ~60" width Hybrid Rear!
