@The Machinist ,@KWalkerM,i was visiting Bass pro in Manteca this past Sunday to check out Tepui tents and also check out the store (1st time).
I was talking to Todd (from Santa Cruz) about the product and was impressed with the quality of workmanship,Todd is driving a 3rd Gen. 4Runner with all the goodies including a tent on top which i did jump on to see how sturdy it is and made up my mind that i would buy one before the end of the year. Now for the bad news (Sorta),Todd mentioned about going on a trip to Gold lake next month and when i asked him when (Drum roll) it is the same weekend that we'll be there and if i heard it right he might drive up there on Wednesday he also mentioned that it will be a group and i didn't bother to ask how big is the group,i do have his number and maybe i could ask. I am not sure if this could be an issue but would like to share it here on the forum,let me know if i need to call him to find out.

Nah, its too late to re-plan everything. Would mess up everyone's vacation days.
I'm not too worried, we'll still have plenty of space. The pics from the website look like they were using the first two or three campsites, and our goal is the very last few. Worst case scenario is that we camp at Little Gold Lake like last year. (or if worse comes to worse we can use Tamarak Lake too)
Its pretty crazy that they are charging $225 just to go camping in an easily accessible area though.... this 'Mud trip will ALWAYS be FREE.

I will be leaving on Thursday morning and hoping to get there before noon and set camp and try to save other nearby spots,i'm sure the Tepui group will have a surprise when they see us there too,who knows it might just turn out to be a bigger blast.

The Tepui event says it's limited to 16 rigs and they'll all be sleeping on top of them so they shouldn't take up too much space. Let's just call it a party! I might even wander over there and pass out in one of them fancy tents.

Still got time for more shirts and hoodies! Mine came in yesterday too. I really like the shirt material. It's not that super thick heavy cotton with long sleeves which I hate.
Tamarack Lakes is an option. But not a lot of access to the shoreline to park rigs next to like Gold and Little Gold. Tamarak sure is nice though. This grassy area where I took the pic from was probably the widest open area, but it was real marshy/swampy
