I've been planning to leave Thursday am, but Wednesday could be in the works since I found out Ashleigh doesn't have class that day as previously thought. We never got off the wait list, though, so we aren't registered. I have one slider built and the other to do. That plus CB and t-case skid will be the only mods to the 80 before Moab.

You would be welcome to ride up with us, but we're not planning to be there in time on Wednesday for Robbie's class. Also, we'll be staying in town since Ellen is going. As far as I know, everyone else will be out at Area BFE. However, I'm sure there are others with room for an extra passenger.

Well, I was going to take off the doors and put on the half-doors. Looking at the forcast I'm starting to wonder if that is a smart idea. I've been snowed on at CM before, and I think it was last year we were dumped on with rain.
I'm in Moab as we speak. Woken this morn by big wind and pouring rain. Dusting of snow on Porcupine Rim. But now....clearing and looks to be a stellar desert day.

[sigh] Another stellar desert day? Wish we were there. I told some people last night I was going to Moab to play on the rocks and they looked at me like I had lost my mind. Guilty! Guilty as charged.

I would sure leave the full doors on. If you want the half doors just in case, we can haul them for you. We have an 80 - we have the room!
Snow all over my house this morning. I'm headed north to snowmobile today!
Unfortunately, as I checked out my summer vacation plans I realized I don't have the vacation time to go to Moab this spring, so I'll have to skip this one...
Have fun guys....I'll be in the neighborhood with the NorCal group, but I don't think we are going to make it to Moab proper or to BFE.....

For those of us heading up on Wednesday morning, I don't think we ever finalized the departure plans. In years past, we have met at the gas station at the Rio Puerco exit off I-40 (on the north side of the freeway, a little before you get to the casino) at 7:00 AM. This has worked out well in the past to get us there in plenty of time for tech inspection.
Does this sound OK with everyone? Also, please post up if you'd like to be part of this group so we know who all we are waiting for. So far, I think we have Marc and family, Pappy, Beowulf, and E&E.

Yep, that works for me.

I've got the CV boots regreased and new clamps installed, new oil in the T-case, and will have new ATF fluid and greased U-Joints before I go to bed. Going to get some new crush washers at AMTOY and do the diff fluids tomorrow. Still lots of packing and prep to do though.

we never got off the wait list for CM so we'll be around doing our own thing. We're are staying at the apache motel, so keep an eye out for my 80--stock and white, plus unpainted tube sliders and a cb antenna on front right of a wrong-year front bumper. I have my phone too.
