I would say Wen, the drive will kill you for a day, the runs start Thursday AM, you need to do tech and misc stuff, travel Wend and leave early or tuesday if you can, some good runs happen outside the CM runs

the windshiled is the cleanest thing I got. Last year when I pulled my carpet , there were 3 different color and size specie ant colonies living in there. Lot of ants.

Forget the ants, will the roof panel be on or off???

Quick question about Fins & Things.


Approximately how long does the run take? I understand that lots of things can go wrong, I am just looking for a crude average.


I am running it on Thursday with the whole family. We are renting a car while in Moab for those not going on the trail Friday and Saturday and I am trying to see if I can schedule the car pick up for Thursday afternoon or just set it up for Wed afternoon. I am being a cheapskate trying to save $60.

depends on if whoever's leading takes the long route or short, how long the lunch break is and if it's run leisurely or not. figure on being off the trail around 3

One thing about Fins is there are several "bail out" points. So lots of options to just hit the sand flats road back down to town. Downside to that is all the best stuff is right towards the end..

And for the rest of you try to get there as early as you can on Wednesday.. tech/check in is all day, big meeting at 5:30, leader/gunner meeting at 5:45, then 6-9:00 is the all-out vendor expo, which is threatening to be the highlight of the event. You may be bummed if you show up Thursday AM for no good reason other than you didn't have your act together. (unless you did the night run, in which case it will be I who is envious of you)

Unfortunately I, like so many others will not be able to attend CM07.

"So what?" you say? Well, as a small token of my appreciation to all of those who make this board so great I am sending a substitute. Now, nobody on this board knows me, and I've never met any of you, but I feel as though I know you.

So to say thanks for all the help and knowledge contained herein I will be sending a bottle of this with a Mudder whom I will meet tomorrow. I will let you all mingle and find out where this ends up, and have a drink for me.

SoCal travel

so whos going and when are you folks heading out? leaving early monday with two rigs and a toyhauler from Redlands, early is 430-5ish for traffic, I-15 to I-70
