I installed a Rostra Cruise Control in a Land Cruiser 78, Troopy, 2001 model with manual transmission. The procedure will be quite similar for type 60 and 80 cruisers, as well as all cars except the electrical connections.

It might seem a bit out of place with Cruise Control on a Land Cruiser. But when you do overlanding, there is often a lot of Autobahn or motorway before you are where you want to be. Thanks to very good Touring seats in my car, the only place I get a pain after days on the road is the right leg. And this is because the accelerator foot is kept motionless for hours and days. So when we decided to go to Mongolia, Cruise Control got high on the wish list. In southern Russia, and especially Kazakhstan, there are endless straight stretches through savanna and desert landscape.

For details, see my blog: Inditravel.org

What seats do you have?
If they are that comfortable, I know people will be interested.

Any more info on what model and how you installed it . Lots of boring highways here in the US where I can use decent cruise control on my troopy.

It's the Rostra unit....Amazon has them. Universal cruise control and then you pick the type of controller....stalk for left, stalk for right or touchpad for dash. We installed one on my 79. Nice piece. They have an install video too....it's pretty entertaining. Really dated.

They are branded "Designer Touring". They look very much like the Recaro Ergomed which I have in my 80, and I think they might be an old Recaro design. The Recaros are very good, but these are even better.
