Saw this 200 in Laredo, TX yesterday. It had texas tags on it. I have never seen a 200 in the US with graphics

You calling the mustard 40 a '78? It it's original it's a '75 or '76. Has the larger rectangular front turn signals and no pop out windows in the hardtop.

No you wouldn't, it's a stick

true story. Damn. guess I better put an A440 in it!

Yep. DANG! Guess I thought the rectangle signals started in 77. They started in 75?

But it's got front disc brakes.....

Gotchya! You knew I couldn't see the brakes!

Rectangles in '75

Discs in '76

Pop-outs in the hardtop in '77

FJ40/45/55/60 engineers were ahead of time in designing these with 4 and 5 speed manual trannys. It was all a subtle plot to keep you from driving them :hillbilly:.

May just be me, but that sure looks like a middle eastern spec 200. even has the OEM winch cover on the front bumper. side graphics, hood visor, and "chrome" bits fit the bill as well. Could be a super rare creep haha. Don't remember if it had govt plates on it by any chance?
