I'm not going to argue over who has the worst clay. Lets just agree that red clay, in any shape and form, is sticky, nasty, and horrible to get off. ;)

That looks like what is under my truck, but I have no where near that much. Mine is mostly limited to the gas tank (makes sense since it hangs down so low and is an easy target for rocks, gravel, etc).

I think Ultra hit it on the head.

yeah, prolly did come from the dealer. It's not on the drive shafts at least, but it is on the control arms...
Like i said in my original post, we have no need for it down here and since it keeps the color of mud, it's gots to go...

Can somone post pics of thier rig with it on there?

It's undercoated just like mine. Except mine is permanently Moab Red. I don't worry about it much, it's under the truck.:meh::hillbilly:

Its probably something like waxoyl

If it came from up by the Canadian border they may have run across the border and had it something like that done

That looks like a mix of years of oil, dirt, road grime, etc. As for Georgia red clay? You should see east Texas red clay it is just as bad. If it gets on your clothes, it never, and I MEAN NEVER comes out. I have pants 5 years old, that have been washed many a time and they still have red stains on them. Hell even our truck still has stains on the white paint that won't come off.

BTW this truck is white. This isn't our truck, this is our buddys truck but is almost identical to ours.

It took 40$ at the car wash to clean this!

X2. I lived near Redding, CA as a kid and they have the red clay in the valleys and red dirt up in the foothills. It's the iron oxide in the soil that gives it that color. You get used to it - it stains everything. Your clothes, the sides of your house the undersides of your rig & etc. I can see getting the coating off the control arms and axles and springs, but you might be doing more harm than good removing it from other softer parts underneath. Just an opinion - take it FWIW.
