What is the best option for crawler gears for my 88 FJ62 with a H55f 5 speed and 3F. AA advertised 2.8 but thats not low enouph for me. Marlin has a Toybox but doesnt reply to emails if it will fit my cruiser? I am in South Africa.

Marks4wd, which supplies AA, has a 3.05:1 option for your transfercase. If you are running larger tyres consider going to lower differential gears. There are many vendors that can help you with that. I think we can drop ship Marks gears to the RSA if you wish. We have sent a fair bit of stuff there but never Marks gears.

Good luck with Marlin, I gave up.

Marks gears

Thanks Japan4x4. I need the gears witht he high range reduction aswell, saves me reagearing the diffs. Have you got a estimate cost? How do I pay you? I will also need the gasket kit. High range is the .08 reduction with a 3.05 low as you stated. How do I know if I have a 34 or 38 mm Cluster pin?

A current gen toybox wont for for a 62, because the toybox shares gear oil with the manual tranny. Since the auto doesnt share fluids with the tcase, that wont work.

You can use a np203 to 4 speed adapter from AA to hook the a440f to a split case, you just have to cut the output shaft down. If you really want some answers about that setup call cam at iron pig offroad (vendor on mud), he is the only person i know with that setup.
