After talking with @cruiseroutfit on and off for about a year, I finally ended up lining up a deal to end up with the cow killer 200 from this thread So I did a thing aka How to kill a cow with a Supercharged 200 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/so-i-did-a-thing-aka-how-to-kill-a-cow-with-a-supercharged-200.1247720/.

We finally set up a night to come snag it a few months ago. I was super excited about it because I can see the potential of having a supercharger, relatively low miles, and a nearly new transmission. And while it was well into the spring it decided to dump a few inches on us right as we were loading which made it a bit more interesting. Huge thanks to @bryson for an extra hand and a place to store it for a bit while I worked on getting everything figured out.

So far the focus has been on getting it all rebuilt and baselined to be road worthy again but big plans are in store for it. Everything is getting repaired with OEM parts and by a Toyota specialist. There was no structural damage so the repair has consisted of replacing some sheet metal and messing with a number of while it is this exposed type stuff. Especially anything that I have had to replace on our 2010.

Still working out the name Cow Killah, T-bone, Cowzilla seems to stick ok for now?

After I get it back from the bodyshop I have a growing pile of parts to stick on it. Including:
  • OME BP51s with the Tundra front swap
  • Rock Warrior Wheels and some flavor of 285/75R17
  • ARB bumper front with Warn 12k winch
  • ARB no swing rear bumper
  • Safari snorkel
  • Slee skid plate
  • Slee sliders
  • Long Range 12.5 gal aux fuel tank
  • Slee dual battery trays
  • Slee twin compressor bracket
  • ARB Linx

Here are some more details on the limited damage. Overall when you look past the sheetmetal damage it is relatively unscathed. A few connections and broken fuse box, air box, and thermostat housing were the only items in the engine compartment that suffered damage and the bodyshop wasn't concerned in the least with it.

Had a cam tower leak to take care of which is much easier to do with stuff out of the way.

Mangled supercharger heat exchanger will get replaced with an upgraded unit.

I vote for T-Bone lol.

Looks damn good!

Maybe “T- Boner” since it was really the COW who got T-Boned… 😂

Body work side is all done and it looks fresh. I still need to hook up the intercooler radiator but she runs and drives great and I got enough feel for the supercharger to understand the number of smiles in the future! I have a large pile of parts at Cruiser Outfitters to get rolling into the next side of the build. Front and rear ARB bumpers will be up next (hence the front bumper is only painted on the top half since the rest will get cut off).

I have been dealing with a failing battery throughout the rebuild because I was waiting to get a new battery. After jumping it over and over again I finally got around to installing some Slee bling. It seems that there is a supply chain issue on some of the AGM group 31 batteries, so I just scrounged up a take off FLA battery from work to tie me over for now. The new Slee terminals are significantly better than the old style.

I'll eventually get to a dual battery system and redoing all the aftermarket electrical.

Nicely done. I think if I destroyed my 2013 front end I'd have tried to source a 2016 front end for the swap, but that's just a cosmetic preference.

Thanks. I agree on the 2016+ style. I like it a lot as well. I looked closely at an aftermarket body kit that could have done it economically (i even scoped some out in KSA when I was over there for the Dakar Rally), but decided to stick with OEM parts because I knew I would kick myself if I didn't. The quality level is noticeable.

The cost difference when sticking with OEM was pretty significant because I didn't need to replace all the front end parts even though it was most. But even with a killer discount from a local parts guy the lights are twice the price as were other pieces and in the end it wasn't worth another $4k+ when I could put the dollars into suspension and long range tank. If I could have found a good wrecked one that I could have harvested the front clip from that could have been interesting but I didn't see anything that was close enough in the timing when I was sourcing parts.

I ended up needing to have a last little electrical gremlin in form of a continual current draw. I was able to get it chased out and spent way more time and money than I was hoping to do, but I now have a lot more confidence it is fully ready to rock and roll. I also used all new wire covers and tesa tape for the front harness. No more draw.

At the same time, I was able to get the intercooler all back together. Was able to find the issue and do it right.

Don't mind the X and Os too much. In general it is close to what happened with the exception that the new intercooler was flipped over so the inlet and outlet were on the correct side that allows flow across the W2A cooler. Was able to sweet talk a friend into doing some nice TIG work for me to move all the brackets around and redo the connections to the front so they will fit and plug the holes.

All installed and working great with no leaks. Also a brilliant suggestion was to run Subaru blue coolant in the intercooler instead of Toyota pink so it will be easier to diagnose leaks in the future if they ever show up.

She also had a spa week Cruiser Outfitters getting the ARB front and rear bumpers and a LRA tank installed. Olly did killer work as usual! Thanks @cruiseroutfit!!

And a big thanks to @bryson for the most awesome and appropriate keychain for the newly rebuilt cow killer!

Looking forward to getting the BP51s and Tundra front end put under it soon!
