Normally I'd be there, but pinewood derby this Sat AM. Might get out there in the PM. Will you be out all day?

Power steering on my cousin's bronco on saturday.

Have fun!

I'll be out there in the AM....

Marc

Bronco? What's a Bronco? :D

I will be welding on the 40 and getting my junk ready for the Gap Sunday.

Take a couple of bags and haul out some trash, that place can use all the help it can get!

Sorry, I can't make it either. Unfortunately, I just HAVE to work once in a while.....:eek:

Update...

I went and carried the Land Cruiser flag in a sea of Jeeps. Saw a 06 Rubicon (300 miles) break a clutch slave cylinder actuator arm (that thing is cheapo plastic smaller than a pencil! :rolleyes: )

Had a good time... Kind of interesting, my 40 was the only vehicle that:

Had locking hubs;

No power steering;

A carburetor;

A real rollcage;

6-lug wheels.

did this take place? pics?

Yes it took place. I'll get pics later. It was fun, way better than work. :D

cool pics :cool:

Thanks

I didn't get a pic of the Rubicon that broke it's clutch actuator arm thingie (attaches to the clutch pedal and pushes the clutch master cyl) it's made of plastic and went "tink" rending the vehicle immobile. Funny to listen to the guy call Daimler Chrysler and try to get a tow :crybaby: :rolleyes:

Well, even metal clutch linkages can break. On a run with the K5's, it took the guy over an hour to file a metal bolt into a suitable size to drive his truck out. I provided the bolt and then took cruiserpics while waiting........:flipoff2:
