Hi All,

Has anyone here installed the Corbeau front seat brackets in a 1972 or earlier Fj40? I bought the brackets that were supposed to line up with the factory holes. The Drivers side went in perfect, but the passenger side was more than a little off. My 72' was built towards the end of 71' and I am replacing the split bench seat up front.

I know my back left mounting hole is pretty far towards the drivers seat from the long part of the bench, so drilling a new hole that is more in line with the front left hole is no problem.

If you installed the brackets, do you recall the part number from Corbeau?

Corbeau tech support is working on finding another bracket that will work, but i'm not holding out hope.

Or do I need to disassemble my bench to reuse that frame and mount the new bracket on that? That actually looks like it would line up.

Would be a bummer to take that seat apart though.

I'm still getting used to the look vs the bench seat, but my back is much happier now. Lots of potential on the center console with the tray there from the bench seat.

Thanks!
