Yep tilts forward but that reminded me of one other thing I wasn't to psyched about these seats, the tilt lever feels really cheesy. Kinda small and plastic with a plastic seam you really feel when pulling it, figure I'll wrap it in some fancy electrical tape I got from Summit same as I did the parking break lever to turn it from brown to black to match the interior.

On a side note looks like you guys are getting some really nice snow glad you getting some, it's been a rather pathetic season for us so far in the Sierra.

Can anyone tell me with 100% certainty that the Corbeau sport seats fold forward?

I got caught up in a bunch of shop work and forgot to grab a pic for you. I'll get one either this evening, or tomorrow. Sorry, man... didn't mean to be a tease... :grinpimp:

Yeah that lever, action is good and works fine but the size and the plastic seam you can feel when actuating it is....meh.

Just nitpicking. I would still buy the same again, you get a lot for what they cost.

I wonder how difficult it would be to have a metal piece machined to replace the plastic with?

Bolsters made me a better driver. I never realized how much I was hanging on the wheel to keep my butt in the seat. My ass is now planted in the seat. All I have to do now is steer and operate the throttle.

You could likely home cast some replacement pewter/aluminium/brass handles for your knobs. I think you could even cast them to fit over the plastic - that would stiffen them up. Sand casting isn't all that for small pieces. A 3d printed pattern in PLA then into plaster and baked makes for nice mold. Pewter melts in the 500F range so you don't need a furnace. And you can make it lead free too.

I have a bucket of military aviation platinum/iridium spark plugs and sack of Bosch points for the magnito's on a PW R-985. I'm going to harvest the p/r and cast a ring or two out of it. The two hardest metals to seperate are platinum and iridium - which is why the they used as an alloy in the plugs/points. I'll be getting the 3D printer soon as the weather breaks. It changes from hard ice to mud almost daily - clearly a month early.

I was in a 72 chevy that had the Jegs buckets in it last week. They really aren’t terrible especially for the money.

I think I’m going to pull the trigger on a pair at $500 shipped to my door and see how they work out. Worst case I’ll return them. Maybe I’ll win the lottery one day and get something nice. Z

My biggest complaint about the OEM seats is lack of bolster and you slide all over. Except I have the driver seat slid back enough I can get a bolster effect from the passenger side of the seat.
