Decided to put all new hoses on my BJ73.. Ordered OEM hoses from cdan(Thanks). When I got in there I noticed a leak in the fin area.... Took it out and am going to have it re-cored.. Pics so far.. Will update when the radiator gets done.. Pics as I know we all like pics!

Jason I see the receiver-dryer and condensor. You are correct it is an aftermarket kit.

Thanks Dan... Alberto I decided pull the radiator and do this once instead of my normal I can do it later... Also was noticing top radiator tank was hot and bottom was not very warm... Think it's clogged as well as it would climb to just past half way on a long hill and the fan clutch was fully engaged..

Just dropped it off at a great custom radiator shop. For $550 out the door it will be a 4 row now instead of the factory 3 row.. Glad I pulled it there were patches all over the fin to tank connections. Hopefully get it back by mid week..

that's a crazy shroud on those things, no?

It's a big shroud... Mine cleaned up well. Goin to wax it so it will match the shiny new radiator and clean up the engine compartment...

Replaced my rad and termostat with engine rebuild. Two weeks later heater core leaked, check for wet carpets! Whole dash has the come out to replace core. There is two pipe extensions to heater core sealed with O' rings and held in place with curved metal clips on the top of the plastic heater/AC unit, these could leak also. I solderd the pipe connections. Spector in L.A. had a sale on 60 series heater core, they look the same as the 70 series. My 2 cents. Good luck.

Thanks... Hope I don't have to replace that yet... Spent my fun $$ on the radiator:(.. It is 80 degrees again today.. Can bypass heater if it leaks... Top is coming off soon.. Only need to get the A/c working to get that cool air on my face with the top off.

Ya, did that drove last winter with no heater. Luckily the average winter temp here is plus 5C

Just ordered thermostat and gasket with bypass hose from SOR.. Should be good to go next week !!

Pick up my radiator tomorrow am.. Also got a late model grill to finish mounting. Only need a turbo to match the false advertising on the 73(my 80 has a nice one).

I would take that out-of-place emblem off your hands........:)

Just waiting on thermostat today..... Also moved shocks in back up off the u bolt plate..

Done. Runs cool and well so far. It's 82 degrees out and running on the lower side of half way on stock guage.

82?

:flipoff2:

Looks normal to me. Next week I will put a heat gun on it and get the temps all over to make sure it's all good..

Is it me or does the BJ7X FSM not have a radiator R&R section?
Somebody point me to it.
I am certain if I just go at it I am going to either do something in the wrong order or remove something i do not need to. I also have AC.
