yea mate there both on high beam you dont realise how much better they are till you can compare them i would def go with an upgrade mate

Hello Clint79,

I am not sure about the HIDs working in low beam. Is an H4 globe good for both high and low beam? Does it require additional hardware?

Please explain.

JuanJ

was going to say exactly the same thing clint ;)
how are the hids? It would be great to see a before/after shot as I had thought about breathing a bit of life into my headlights as they really are poor on low beam. I think the contrast b/w high beam with spots and low beam doesn't help!

I just put a upgraded wiring loom kit in my BJ75 and went to 100w bulbs - huge different.

Cannot use HID here its illegal to convert to HID but many do and it is causing lots of problems with ill fitted units blinding people and drivers driviing on high beam everywhere :(.

HID lights on my standard ISUZU very good but you really notice them on dark country roads more thhan city driving.

Yes mate the kit i got orig had hi beam only we made a mistake when ordering the kit but the brand/company makes a little box with the hi/lo beam globe and a extra little relay thing was only au$30 for the hi/lo add on ,or you can order the right kit the first time;) and get the hi/lo in it

Hello Clint79,

Thank you for the explanation. You got me thinking on an upgrade...

I checked the eBay vendor from the link. Looks good, I will give it a try.

Also mate dont forget if you have the sealed beam lights (they might be std??) you will need to get new headlights them selfs aswell

Hello Clint79,

You are right. Mine are sealed. I have to get the whole package, so to speak.

Dumb question: is there anything to keep in mind regarding fuses?

JuanJ

Hello Clint79,

Thank you so much. I will check these. And posteage/shipping is not a concern. Because of my job I am a frequent traveler, and I am used to wait for stuff to arrive.

Thank you for the tip on the fuses. I am still understanding my cruiser's wiring, and from past experiences I always ask about fuses.

Forgive me for asking the obvious: is your name Clint?

JuanJ

No probs mate
yep sure is Clint
