So I just went to a truck scale.

LC + me + full tank = 6260 lbs.

That leaves 1125 lbs for wife, kids, and hitch weight...

Does the HD suspension allow for higher GVWR (7385 lbs.)?

If I'm understanding this correctly:

7895 (GAWR) - 6260 (LC, full tank, and me) = 1635

meaning I have 1,635 lbs. for wife, kids, and hitch weight?

I hope that's true!

I did just read most of your thread JBHorne, and your enthusiasm is contagious.

Question: Can anyone recommend a shop in Southern California (preferably Orange County) that I could trust to do the install? I’m hesitant about lockers since I have never put myself in a position to need them, but I’m open to the idea, especially if I can find a shop that I can trust to do it clean, switches and all.

I would have your dealership quote removing and installing the thirds, and have them send them to Zuk for the actual assembly. His attention to detail is on the level of OCD. He can do the lockers for you as well, including ARB air lockers or Harrop eLockers. I really like the idea of the Harrops as they don't require a compressor and aren't susceptible to air leaks, however they do cost more. Also, in my case, I already had an ARB rear, so front was a no-brainer at that point. Whether you need lockers is entirely up to you -- honestly, I've used my rear many times -- needed or not it helps reduce driveline stress -- and never needed the front, but it's there now "just in case". It's fun to play with on snow because there's little that can get a triple-locked vehicle stuck :)

As for the switches, I have another recent review on that as well here!
