Hello folks,

First time posting!

My A/C recently stopped working and I found the condenser to be the culprit. I almost always use genuine replacement parts but this time around I'm debating whether to go aftermarket. Unfortunately the Denso condenser is no longer available and the original is around $350. I am thinking about ordering an aftermarket from Rockauto. Are there any brands that you recommend or any brands that I should stay away from. Any past experience would be helpful.

I’d recommend Toyota or Lexus if you’re fancy!

I would spend the $350 and put in a new Denso.

There is a CSF unit and Nissens is also a good brand, Most aftermarket units have flaws and quality may not be as good as OEM.

I just had a very reputable cruiser shop in Mesa Az put in a new condenser (and compressor and replaced a line).

They told me the condenser was the last one available in the country (OEM I suppose?). 05LX

On side note, the fitting to the line on the bottom of condenser is leaking oil and there’s bubble/ air boiling in the sight glass.

I assume I should take it back to the shop ?

Yes, I would.

I dropped it off this morning .. he said it wasn’t leaking but replaced the o ring anyways ? Said it was residual from disconnecting . Idk.. I wiped it off really good and saw it puddle right under the fitting.

Maybe I’m being neurotic .. We’ll see how it does after this go round I keep an eye on it
