Hi All,

After getting home from a short 30-40 minute round trip drive today I noticed what sounded like water sizzling on something hot. I looked under and there was a drip from the plastic skid plate. It was a clear liquid with no smell. I took the plastic cover off and there was a bit of liquid accumulated on it. As you can see in the photos, the liquid was falling on the exhaust and that's probably the sizzling I was hearing.

First photo is the drip and trail on the exhaust. The second photo is where it looks to be coming from. And a third is a different angle.

Any idea if this is just some ac condensation or is this some sort of leak from the ac? I did discover a 10mm cap nut that was on that plastic skid plate a few weeks ago when I took it off to change fluids. Is that possibly related?

That water dripping is from your evaporator core - which is normal now that we have hotter temperatures. You can buy a 90° elbow and hose extension from your local hardware store to redirect the drip spot. Easy fix.
