Thank you!Take a scraping device such as a big screwdriver to it in order to test if it's just surface or goes deeper. Also could pound on the frame with a hammer. Photo #2 looks the worst to me. Mostly looks like surface IMO.
bad, but not unsafe bad. you should get busy on wire wheeling and treating the underside with Woolwax or Fluidfilm promptly though. what do the insides of the c-channels look like?
