I have a completely rebuilt 2f head. Mating surface decked three angle valve job, new springs, valve guides, new valves(they even have the teq on the valves. It is still pretty cast iron grey. Not sure what vintage it is, but is old enough not to have an oil galley plug. casting #2 80032 0107
215
Would like to get $400 o.bo. It's located in south florida. you wil also have to foot shipping it weighs 85 pounds. I have paypal, p.m. me and let me know.

I'm new to selling parts, am I asking entirely too much? I don't think it's unreasonable. Am I advertising this in the right place? I would appreciate some feedback, to at least point me in the right direction. Thanks, Roger

I think it would be helpful if you knew the year of the head. Some pics would be good also. I may be interested if i had the right info.

I will try to post pics after work. I imagine a picture of the combustion chamber (the shape of it) would tell you what you need to know.

The casting number is above # 2 cyn, on top, outside of the valve cover.

My running rig's head reads 63010 as the cast number

I am also selling a head w/cast number 61030. I bought the head, had it machined to put into my 1986 fj60 then found out that it is the wrong head for my rig. (Doh!)

JimC just instructed me that the 61030 and 61031 cast heads are "open chamber" heads for use on domed pistons 2F blocks, not flat top pistons which the 63010 (and 61040 and later heads) are.

So I have spent some "tuition" here as well. Maybe I can get my investment out too. As for for your price, that seems a great price if it matches someone's rig. You need to note the 5 digit cast number.

My head core cost me $150 out of Colorado (I am in Utah) and my machine shop ran $300 (oil gally tap and screw, all new springs, redone valves/guides) and $110 for Toyo valve seals.

So yours is a great deal. I would like to get $560 back out of mine. Shipping cost me $65 from CO to UT. Oh, the rocker arm assembly is currently as is, but I got a price of $200 to redo from RockerArms Specialists in Anderson CA.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but to provide a for a comparison for both of us and others.

the only cluster of five #'s is 80032 over the second cylinder.

So, chances are it is actually a 60032, which is an F engine head, which explains why it doesn't have the oil galley plug.

Tho it is not uncommon to see peeps put hundreds of dollars into getting heads rebuilt, the resale market for heads is beyond soft. cruiserbrett put a rebuilt 2F head on Ebay with an opening bid of $25 a few years back. I put in the opening bid in just to track the auction.

I won the head!

Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon scenario for cruiserheads selling heads, tho I have made a point of not bidding to track them since!

Good luck with your sale.

no it is clearly 80032 but thats neither here nor there. If it is an f series head what is it compatable with? Thanks again Roger

I was wrong it's an F head

I found out from someone on the message boards that it is from like '68-'72 F series motor. So now I really don't know what to do with it now. Thanks for the interest, Roger
