SOLD Complete pto winch assembly

Complete pto winch head, pto gearbox, spud shaft, pillow block, driveshaft, shifter, linkage, hardware with correct frame wedges, correct chain and hook, original cable.This unit was rebuilt a few years back and never used. All mounting feet solid. Very nice unit. The pto is a split case late model as is the shifter assembly. $1800 I will strap to a pallet, buyer arranges freight, forklift on sight for easy loading. Would like to sell complete, but will consider parting out if enough interest.

what years is it for? some PTO have bolt holes aligned (older style) some have them not aligned .. not sure if I am explaining it clear ..

if you don't mind me jumping in, I've got a PTO from a 1 piece transfer case if a buyer wants it for an earlier drivetrain.

this one has the almost always missing wedges for mounting.

Single direction PTO started 11/84, same time the 70 series started. On the earlier two direction PTO cable in used the idler gear. Unless I'm mistaken which is possible the worn gear that drives the drum switched 11/84. If that is the case cable in would only work with the transmission in reverse and cable out with all the forward gears on pre 11/84 winches.

Is it possible to roll the drum over to where reverse was forward and vice versus? I don’t mean flipping the winch over but once all of the cable is out, it will roll up in the other direction, correct? Therefore reversing the line pull direction.

except for the way the wire rope is attached to the drum. if reversing the rope on the drum, the wire rope would have a 180 degree kink in it

Mine is attached sideways at the start so probably wouldn’t matter much. On top of that I am going with synthetic so even less of an issue. I will give it a try and report back.
