My project is coming. I'm so freakin jacked to start it. I've had multiple CJ's but always wanted an FJ. Now I have one. It should arrive by trailer on Monday around noon. Looks solid, Chevy 350 conversion, SOA swap with rancho lifted springs. Need lots of helps so I'll be doing quite a bit of searching here. Just wanted to introduce myself and the rig.

Good luck with the project, you came to the right place!

It is an original red but unk. paint code. I'd like to keep it original looking with a few modern changes. I picked up the interior over the week with the long rear seats and just picked up a set of '92 front 4runner seats which I'll use. These bumpers will go on for sure. I made them for a project I ditched but still have the rear so I'll shorten it a little and make another front one.

Hey, congratulations on your new project, looks like a great start. Do you have the front sheet-metal? Maybe I'll see you onthe road one of these days, neighbor !!

Keep a few CJ's around so when you loose all of your 12mm tools, you will still ahve something to work on.

Welcome to the addiction.

You don't know how close that hits to home. Today I needed my 12mm wrench, and couldn't find a single one. Not in the garage (there are two full sets in there normally), and none in the shop (normally three kept in there). And I was thinking about replacing that PS belt for the whole five days I was at work as soon as I got home, only to be thwarted by overuse of the tools. ;)

Those are interesting bumpers.

Make sure you post a plethora of pictures tomorrow.

Dan
