Just got back from almost two weeks in RMNP. Camping, Hiking, Wheeling. I am very jealous of you CO folks...

A few pics:

Main road through the park near the top.

Trying to be artistic (fail).

Halfway up our acclimation climb we run into a service road and some old coot. The summit is in the background.

Last climb up the rocks to the summit of this mountain. What a bitch of a climb. It started raining halfway through my ascent and everything turn slippery and loose.

On the summit. Exhausted.

The view from the top.

The drive home. Nice double rainbow.

Another hike. Lunch at a lake on the way.

Elk don't seem too timid.

Exploring more trails.

DOH. This image does not do this justice. We are on a severe angle down towards the passenger front as demonstrated by my lean out the driver window. Felt like I came damn close to flopping here as I just slid down this steep switchback.

Nice!

I bet you waited for the elk to mosey on down the meadow before you proceeded quickly past :D

Heh. She was down there near the trail when I passed and a snapped a quick couple pics as I rushed by. My friends were much more bold and sat there as she ate... I enjoyed the view from afar. :D

I have no idea! There was a website address on the trailer but unfortunately the camera man didn't capture it.

That was taken at the entrance of Left Hand Canyon/Carnage Canyon...

Pics aren't working for me.

Alan Povdin as stated above. He likes to customize things

Very jealous, I wish I still lived within a days drive or so of RMNP. Used to go there in the summers often, stayed in Estes Park. I love it there. The air is different up there.

Great pics! I will be exploring the great state of CO this weekend in the Ouray?Telluride area.
Thanks for sharing, nice LX.
