Just got back from almost two weeks in RMNP. Camping, Hiking, Wheeling. I am very jealous of you CO folks...
A few pics:
Main road through the park near the top.
Trying to be artistic (fail).
Halfway up our acclimation climb we run into a service road and some old coot. The summit is in the background.
Last climb up the rocks to the summit of this mountain. What a bitch of a climb. It started raining halfway through my ascent and everything turn slippery and loose.
On the summit. Exhausted.
The view from the top.
The drive home. Nice double rainbow.
Next day's hike. Nice marmot.
View from the saddle.
At the summit. 13000-ish feet. Friend looking through his photos.
Summit view.
Poser pic while driving back to camp.
Exploring some trails with the truck.
Beautiful.
Light trail.
Another hike. Lunch at a lake on the way.
Playing around on the rocks at Black Lake.
Elk don't seem too timid.
Exploring more trails.
DOH. This image does not do this justice. We are on a severe angle down towards the passenger front as demonstrated by my lean out the driver window. Felt like I came damn close to flopping here as I just slid down this steep switchback.
