Can't wait to see Ouray and everyone

So I did bunch or trails in Ouray. This time with my 3.5 month old daughter and wife in the GX. It was amazing how comfortable and capable this SUV is. I could not be happier. Her first time out and zero fear of the sheer cliffs just 3 ft away. She loved the high mountain flowers. Took a ton of pictures. I went with a guy in a Jeep with a 5 inch lift and 35 inch tires. I did drag the hitch a couple times. But no big deal. Never hit a skid plate. Never a issue. Atrac is amazing. Two wheels on the ground at a crawl and it just keeps going forward. You are rewarded with smoothness with this SUV. Here are some pictures of the trip.

Finally did Black Bear and Poughkeepsie Gulch. It was wet and rainy. Black Bear has a lot of exposure. But it's not nearly as bad as you would thing for all the hype. Poughkeepsie was the first trial I really hit my sliders on. It was not hard at all but a more challenging trail for the relative mild GX I have. It was too wet and everyone was getting winched up the wall. I need to decide what I want to do with my bumpers. They are too low and prevent me from getting up some stuff and I am going to snag the rear one on a rock and rip it off one of these days. It would be better to trim it higher before I totally destroy it. Still thrilled with the GX. I would not get the same sliders again. For those that care, I would look at Hefty Fab or RCI. Here are some pictures.

Black bear is awesome! I ran it 2 times at the summit this year.

Any noticeable vibrations with those sliders? I actually really like that idea though, typically, you don't want to hard fasten the body to the frame.

I noticed a small amount at the beginning. Only on this one road. And it vibrated a little on that road anyway. It just felt like it was more. I don't notice it any more.

As long as it doesn't detract from my Lexus driving experience.

nice pictures, glad you had a good time

My question what was the total cost of parts? Also how long did it take you to do the conversion? What was the part# on the blistein shocks

Thanks

That's the wheelers order

I probably spent 6 to 8 hours doing the suspension install. But I went very slowly. Checking all the other parts as I went to insure my suspension was in good shape.

My tires need replacing and your tire/suspension setup is just the look and functionality I'm aiming for. Nicely done.

Oddly enough, if you came down past Bridal Veil Falls toward Telluride that weekend, I was the random hiker going up that complimented your GX :)

I remember. Thanks. That's funny.

I know it a 3 years old thread , but I've thinking of the same setup up in the front.
Bilstein 5100/T 112-620 Eibach Coil Set ( second notch from the bottom).
what did u need the 1/4" top plate for ?
I don't know if you still have your Gx but how you like your setup lift after 3 years.
Thanks

I have a very similar setup (Bilstein/Eibach) in front and I like it. It was at the second setting but now I have a bumper and winch so I had to move to the highest setting to maintain the lift. It is not harsh at all.

How many inches of lift did u gain by using the second notch from the bottom with stock wieght? Thanks
