1996 Lexus LX 450. 199k miles. Does not have the differential lockers (center diff/TC lock only). Asking $11,800. Local only, or you can arrange for shipping. Selling to fund rebuild/V8 swap in the clunker.

The good:
• Straight. Not a speck of rust anywhere on the body and very little surface patina on the frame.
• Piles of maintenance records from previous owner. All the good stuff: cooling system overhaul, belts and hoses (including PHH), all suspension bushings, new catalytic converters, the list goes on. Serviced by a reputable Toyota shop and very well baselined. I just replaced the valve cover gasket, which was leaking when I bought it. I can include some spare gaskets/seals for the typical 1fz leaks if you wish.
• Interior is better than average. No cracks in the dash or plastics, seats are still in pretty OK shape—showing wear, but still soft and supple, not rock hard and cracked or coming apart at the seams like these typically are. Looks like they’ve been repaired by an upholstery shop at some point.
• Still has the 3rd row seats!
• Old Man Emu 861/862 “stock height” springs (actually provide about 1” lift) and new shocks. This thing handles tighter and rides better than any land cruiser I’ve driven. No play in steering.
• Clean Carfax. Originally from New Jersey, but spent almost all its life in Colorado.

The bad:
• Passenger side seat adjustment doesn’t work—stripped plastic gear.
• Tires have lots of tread and drive fine, but should probably be replaced soon due to age.
• Rubber weather strip around rear hatch is torn
• Pinhole rust in resonator. No exhaust smell or funny noises

The Ugly:
• Tailgate has numerous small dings and has been partially spray painted. No idea what happened, looks like a toddler with a ball-peen hammer went to town on it.
• Rear bumper covers are included, but they’re in bad shape—you’ll probably want to find replacements if you’re not getting an aftermarket bumper.
• Plastic cladding/fender flares and bumper end caps are losing some paint. The rest of the bodywork has good paint and only minimal scratches, chips, etc. Clearcoat still intact. Better than most 26 year old paintjobs.
• Carpet has a bleach stain on the tailgate cover and a couple small stains (wax or paint?) in the back seat footwell. I have a complete brand new carpet set with mass backing (sound deadening) that I can include for $500. Aside from those 2 blemishes, the original carpet is in great shape.
• Steering wheel is a little ratty, but I’ve seen much worse.

Back story, if you care:
I just bought this truck on a whim a couple months ago after my old trusty LX450 "the clunker" developed a rod knock. The plan was to transfer all my off-road goodies onto the new truck and part out the old one, but after much deliberation, I’ve decided to keep the old one and probably do a V8 swap or maybe rebuild. Will consider trade for shop labor on an LS swap lol.
