Based on all the information posted, I’m guessing that the truck is a 2004-2005 imported as a 1998 to meet the 25 year import laws.

2005

Not really disputing anything you say Juan other than there are coil pack 70-series in Colombia.

I think you can find good Cruisers down there still but it is best to go down and view them yourself. It’s a nice country, worth a couple week trip to try and find your dream Cruiser.

Cheers

Hello,

I checked the frame number.

The parts catalog says it is a January 1998 FZJ73, assembled from a CKD with a 1FZ-FE engine.

I guess that answers your question about where it was assembled.

forensic landcruiserologists, i love it

Just sayin... this lil pig would totally haul a$$.
I'd say it would enjoy a bit of the occasional drink, but would totally be worth it IF reliable and can maintain decent speeds on hill climbs!

Well I can't get owner to send me a picture of Data Plate, I'm assuming some kind of Fuackery going on !
Going to take a pass on it.
If anyone is interested ?

If any non friends are interested 🤣

There fixed 🤪

If any does buy it, I have a couple sets of those metal OEM style windshield knobs from a small batch I had made while back ;). They were not sold from the batch originally due to small defects. They will never be made again, at least not through me. I came across them the other day looking for something else.

For those of you that may not know, these are used to secure the windshield frame when in upright position. Original OEM are same look, but resin type plastic with metal bolt head. These copycat versions are all metal.

That cruiser is missing those and probably every 70 series soft top should have them. I have no use for them.

I’ve seen this around town and I can say its a beautiful truck and it is in top notch mechanically. Owner is a Landcruiser enthusiast.

1FZ-FE is the best engine in these in my opinion. I’ve owned the 1HZ in these FJs and they are pretty darn slow!

For me it's the preferred power plant especially with coil packs. The FEs are just becoming mature enough to import in these and with coil packs your getting close to 2UZ power.
Add a 5 speed stick, manual transfer case, coil spring front axle and AC and you have a very desirable 73 !! The soft top is pretty dam nice two :p

I have always be a big fan of inline 6 motors and IMO the 1FZ with there Dbl overhead cams are the pinnacle of them.

To bad it's a botched Colombian Rig

Wow, sold before the auction ended
