I've got an 89 fj62. I need the cold start injector timer switch as mine broke in half. Toyota has discontinued the part. If you've got an FSM, and the part to sell, please test it for me to make sure its within functioning spec. I'll post up the specs also. Coming soon.

Thanks!

I was able to repair mine. I cleaned, then spread the metal contacts on the half at the wiring connector (so that they would apply pressure to the contacts inside the other half of the switch - I cleaned those also), then pushed the two halves together. I applied some epoxy around the perimeter of the wire connector half before pushing them together, then slathered more epoxy around the joint after it was reassembled. After it cured overnight I tested its function according to the FSM. Everything checked out OK. So it can be done once you figure out how it's designed.

What does the timer actually do? I can't find that info anywhere in the fsm
It tells the cold start injector to work.

ok so it turns out my timer switch is fine. however the spot that the sensor screws into in the stat house is cloged and it looks like the threads are gone. any ideas where one can get a new sleeve plug thingy or if i could unclog it do u think i could hold it in with some of that mold able epoxy putty? let me know if u need a pic

At the risk of giving you a self-serving answer, if you can't repair the threads you will need to replace the housing. I have a bunch of 3FE housings.
