Dusty,
I too have been considering what the best method is to get some cold air up into the inner fender, although it would be used with the stock filter set-up.
I've run the gammut of ideas through my brain, from fender louvers, modified snorkles, to ducting, and basically came to the same conclusion as you; ducting to the front. The problem as I see it is, unless you have removed your blinker as you've done, there really isn't a place for the cold air to enter this ducting. I've thought about a way to cut-up the left front blinker, or even to find a smaller unit to stick in place of the OEM blinker, so that the remaining cavity could be used for some free-flowing air, but I haven't pursued this yet. I've also thought that a guy could cut-up some of the sheet metal behind the headlight to make a way for this ducting to go to the grill area.
Since I haven't removed the inner fender, or headlight yet, and don't really know what might or might not work well, what would you choose of the two methods that I've described?
Thanks for putting me onto some more products and ideas!
Robert
